Band Biography Will and apl met in 1989, when apl had moved to the USA from the Phillipines after being adopted by an American man.
They became friends and later on formed a band called Atban Klan. They got a record deal aged 17 from Eazy E, who later passed away.
They met Taboo, and formed the Black Eyed Peas, and released 2 albums - Behind the Front and Bridging the Gap.
In 1998, they met Fergie briefly, and in 2002, Will needed someone to sing the hook-up for 'Shut Up'.
The band met Fergie again, and she agreed to sing on 'Shut Up', and continued to sing on more songs with the band, then eventually received an invite to join the group. The Black Eyed Peas then released 2 further albums - Elephunk and Monkey Business, and recently won an award for 'Best Pop' at the EMA's 2005 in Lisbon.
The nest single from 'Monkey Business' will be 'Pump It'
